Children’s Ministry

The heart of Mid Valley Children’s Ministry is for children to come to know Jesus as their Savior and find an abiding friendship with Him.

One of the best ways to get to know Jesus is through His Word.

Our program is firmly centered around learning Bible stories through activities that are fun and engaging, while placing an emphasis on memorizing Scripture. As our kids grow in their relationship with Jesus, our prayer is that they find peace and joy that impacts their daily lives, and that they share their hope in Jesus with their friends. Come join us as we encourage our children to grow in Jesus!

FAQ

Where do I check my children in?

All kids will check in downstairs in the Depot Room (down the first set of stairs from the main level). A volunteer will greet you, check your child(ren) in and direct you to your child(ren)’s classroom.

Where do I pick my children up?

Nursery and Preschool kids can be picked up in their classrooms adjacent to the Depot hallways. K-5th Grade kids can be picked up in the Depot Room.

How will you keep my child safe?

When you check your child in, you and your child will receive stickers with coordinating codes. Your child can ONLY be picked up by an adult who has a sticker with the matching code. In addition, we ensure there are always at least 2 volunteers working with each group of kids. In the Nursery and Preschool classrooms, we are careful to maintain appropriate teacher: child ratios for their age group.

What kind of security check do you use for volunteers?

All adult volunteers who work in our classrooms must have a current Oregon background check. All junior volunteers must be approved by the Children’s Ministry staff through an application and recommendation process, and are never left without adult supervision.
